About The Founder
Ernie Machado entered the world of risk consulting and investigations full time after thirty-four rewarding years in corporate risk management. For 19 years, Ernie was the Director of a large corporate risk management division serving thirteen thousand employees, and over two billion in fixed assets. Ernie provided the Corporate Liaison for Federal, State and local regulatory and enforcement agencies as well as crisis management and media interactions. Ernie takes pride in the successful blending of legal and humanitarian concerns with economic objectives. His knowledge and proficiency in aligning risk management with operational and marketing direction is a rare find in the business and legal communities of today.
Ernie has led diverse teams of professionals in the mitigation of accidental losses, the minimization of risk exposures and ultimately tens of millions of dollars in cost avoidance. Ernie Machado is an Associate in Risk Management, Board Certified in Homeland Security Level V, a Licensed Private Investigator, Licensed independent Insurance Adjuster and a Certified Fraud Examiner. In the early years of his career, Ernie attained his bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice by attending night classes and working as a full time claims investigator while also serving as a reserve police officer.
In 2009 Ernie was awarded “Risk Innovator of the Year” for his work in bringing the first (Employee Safety-Post Offer of Employment Testing into his company as well as the industry. This award was presented by the national trade publisher of Risk & Insurance Magazine.
